To make your booking rock-solid and avoid any last-minute surprises: Please call or shoot us a quick text to confirm availability before you finish paying. We’ll check everything and text you back “You’re all set!” within minutes. Our online calendar is super convenient, but it doesn’t always see real-time details (battery charge, quick maintenance, weather safety checks, etc.).

Must be 21+ with a standard driver’s license and a clean driving record
Our electric boats are very easy to operate—similar to driving a golf cart.
Super easy — we’ve got you covered! After you book and we’ll automatically email parking details. Right before your rental, we send a quick text with the best real-time parking options that day. There is a nominal fee for parking in the lots and some free street parking available.
You’re welcome to bring food, snacks, and drinks—including a cooler.
Yes, simple decorations are welcome—banners, pillows, and tablescapes work great. Not allowed: balloons, tape, glitter, confetti, sprinkled petals, or anything that leaves heavy cleanup. Decor must be easy to remove and can be done up to 10 minutes prior to launch. We're sorry, but no extra time can be given for set up.
Bathrooms are available until sunset next to the parking lot. We do not currently offer lockers, so we recommend leaving valuables at home or secured in your car.
To provide flexibility while covering our operational costs, we offer the following options:
More than 10 days in advance: Full 100% credit toward a future rental (valid for 3 months) or a full refund minus a 3% processing/cancellation fee.
5–10 days in advance: Full 100% credit toward a future rental (valid for 3 months) or a refund minus a 5% cancellation fee.
1–4 days in advance: Refund minus a 10% cancellation fee (credits not available in this window).
Less than 24 hours notice: 80% cancellation fee (20% refund). No-shows forfeit the full amount.
Weather-related (Small Craft Advisory or Warning issued by NOAA): Full 100% credit toward a future rental (valid for 3 months) or full refund minus a 3% processing fee, regardless of timing. We prioritize safety and will proactively contact you if conditions warrant cancellation.
All credits expire 3 months from the original booking date. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to adjust your plans—we're happy to help!
A Dock Host brings the boat to you, walks you through the basics, and serves as your main point of contact.
They do not stay onboard during your ride.
Yes! Up to 2 dogs, each 50 lbs or under, are welcome on board. Dogs that shed or dogs with strong nails like Golden Retrievers require large blankets that will protect cushions.
There are very few places to legally stop in Marina Del Rey. Your Dock Host will review the guidelines with you before departure.
Our Duffy boats comfortably and safely hold up to 12 people total (including the person driving).
Per U.S. Coast Guard rules for self-driven rentals, the legal maximum is 11 passengers + 1 captain (that’s you!), and that includes babies and kids—nobody gets left on the dock. We’ll always confirm your group size when you book so everyone fits perfectly!
Give yourself 15-20 minutes. This will give you time to park, unload, sign-in, and be on your way with no delay. We begin boarding 10 minutes prior to launch.
